It's time to celebrate if you live in the city of Austin!
The good news for residents of Austin: property taxes will be lowered and save home-owners an average of $14 per year according to The Austin Statesman. The bad news: Utility charges are going up at a higher rate so that'll cost the residents of Austin an average of $68 more per year. So, $44 more per year to live in an amazing city. I can handle that!!
It might be time to look into solar panels, a well, or a Tesla Power Wall! It is forecasted that utility costs will continue to rise in Austin. Another alternative, build a new, energy-efficient home.
