I've lived in Austin for over 10 years and have gotten spoiled by the juice bars. I recently traveled to Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago and was completely amazed at how far I had to walk or drive to get a substandard fresh juice! With our abundance of juicers like Juiceland, Skinny Limits and the Daily Greens Juice Bar, we are offered a fast-food style juice within minutes while never leaving our car. Most bars offer all organic juices as well. Doing a juice cleanse or just being healthy has never been so easy.
Also in Austin is the Daily Greens Juice headquarters. Daily Greens is an amazing array of organic juices that are specially bottled to hold in nutrients yet last weeks in the fridge! We currently have the biggest supply of these juices at Whole Foods and now even Costco!!! Yummy. There is no excuse for not drinking your veggies! They've even come out with a juicing book in case you want to try some at home. The headquarters for Whole Foods is also based in Austin so if you want to have an amazing grocery experience, head down to 5th and Lamar and you'll find a grocery store with a park on it's roof!
Now onto the lifestyle...living in Austin means that you'll be outside a good portion of your life because our weather is truly blissful. We have parks and festivals for everyone. As I write this mobs of people are coming to town for ACL, the annual music festival. Austin is, perhaps, the live music capital of the country! Walk down most streets on the weekend and if you don't see a street musician, you'll surely hear a band blasting from inside a restaurant. So grab an organic juice and your walking shoes and go listen to some fabulous tunes!
